Many people opt for cosmetic surgery to improve or enhance their body shape and most often their self confidence. Each person has a different story and reason for choosing surgery.
We meet many who have felt low for some time, and often, this is down to hard work with weight loss, which then does not result in the end result they desired. Even to the point where perhaps the only thing left is surgery, removing excess skin or fat, or lifting, enhancing and shaping, to complete the improved body image and look.
How much and when?
During your initial consultation, your surgeon will discuss your goals and hopes for your body image, and together you will decide your correct implant size and shape or enhancement based on your figure and body size at the time. There are a number of options to consider, whether gently lifting the bust (breast uplift), shaping hips or inner thighs (liposuction) or performing a tummy tuck to remove excess skin/fat/stretch marks, you can be sure that your surgeon is best placed to advise you on the most effective solution.
If you are planning to lose a substantial amount of weight, or have done so, it is important to discuss this with your surgeon at your first consultation. This way, we can look at all options available for you, and ensure that you will love and enjoy your implants/ body transformation for the long-term.
It is recommended that you try and reach, or be as close to, your ideal/goal weight before surgery as this will ensure that you get the best results from your cosmetic surgery procedure, avoiding any unwelcome changes in your new look that you have worked so hard to achieve.
Will losing weight affect my surgery?
Losing a small amount of weight, a few pounds for example, won’t cause any real noticeable change to the appearance of your implant, or liposuction/tummy tuck procedure, however losing larger amounts of weight may make a significant difference and could change the appearance of your results from surgery. Your body could look less in proportion, and implants may look bigger than you originally intended.
Losing weight after breast surgery
After having breast enlargement surgery, you can rest assured that weight loss doesn’t affect the implant itself, changes to the tissue surrounding the implant may go through some changes. If you lose more than 10lbs you may experience implant outlines showing through the skin, causing a less natural appearance. Excessive weight loss may cause your skin to sag and/or your implants to droop.
It is possible that some weight loss could enhance your new post-surgery body and encourage you to continue your new healthy regime and lifestyle.
Gaining weight affect my breast surgery
Any changes to your weight will mean that your skin must adapt to those changes. A small amount of weight gain won’t affect your implants, but a larger amount of weight gain could lead to stretch marks showing on the skin. Extra fatty tissue may alter the shape, texture and symmetry of any implants; altering the original shape and positioning you had planned.
Too much or too little
If, after having your surgery you lose or gain a larger amount of weight and the changes to your body and implants is very noticeable, you may find that you want to have revision surgery to correct the changes caused by your weight change. Obviously, this is another surgical procedure, so it is better to try and remain the weight you were at the consultation to avoid further surgery.
Managing your weight
We do recommend that you try to maintain your weight and body shape, avoiding big fluctuations in your weight and Yoyo dieting. Eating a balanced healthy diet, avoiding processed food, and drinking plenty of water (avoiding sugary drinks), plenty of exercise to maintain and improve your body shape and strength should all help to keep the shape and size that you wished for from the very beginning of your cosmetic surgery journey. Asking the right questions prepares you for your procedure, and allows you to get the best from your surgery and your surgeon. It is always a good idea when in research stage to arm yourself with a list of questions covering topics you do not understand or need to know more about.
We advise patients to write these down, that way when you meet with your surgeon during your consultation; you are ready and are less likely to forget.
Your surgeon will always give you the most accurate, medical explanation, which is important when deciding which procedure is best for you. Whether it is
breast enlargement surgery,
breast reduction surgery or
breast re-augmentation, we are here to answer any thoughts, or queries you might have to allow you to feel fully prepared and safe in the knowledge that your breast specialist
surgeon team has recommended the right procedure to fit your surgery goals.
We know how important it is that you fully understand what the procedure involves, the benefits and risks, the aftercare included and the results. We pride ourselves in getting to know you so that your results are unique to you.
The three most popular questions are:
How do I choose which implants are best for me?
Working alongside your surgeon, you can discuss and agree the best plan for you. We offer a number of different kinds of
breast implants options, each offering different profiles, shape and size.
Your surgeon is responsible for highlighting the features of the implants on offer and matching the perfect one for you.
How long do breast implants last?
Although breast implants are not designed to last forever, they can last quite a number of years. Guidelines suggest that breast implants should be removed and replaced after around 10 years, if nothing else in the body has changed. These guidelines vary from supplier to supplier.
Naturally as bodies change, many women opt for re-augmentation surgery before 10 years, and others want to make size or shape changes too.
Who decides on the size of implant?
Each breast procedure is tailored, and not one will be the same as another.
It is important to understand that your body type, your height and your weight are factors, which will affect which size is most suitable for you.
Ultimately, your desired breast shape and expected size is an important factor and will allow your surgeon to understand your desires, matching the right implant to you.
We want you to feel in control, and will allow you to work with the surgeon to create a plan and a look that is perfect for you.
Other question worth asking:
The only way to understand fully what the procedure entails, and for the most accurate medical information, is to come along and meet with our surgeon team. Book a
free consultation here, at a date and time which is convenient for you, in either;
Preston,
Manchester,
Bolton or
Warrington. We look forward to welcoming you with open arms.

Gynecomastia is enlargement of the breast tissue in men and it is estimated that around forty to sixty per cent of men will experience changes in the size and shape of breast tissue at some point in their lives.
Natural Changes
As young men reach puberty, changes in hormone levels may cause small lumps to develop under the nipple area. Over time, these lumps may disappear, but in some cases they continue to grow and increase the tissue size in the breast area. In some instances, the increase in glandular tissue can be uncomfortable and painful, making physical movement or activities difficult and problematic.
As we mature, changes in our body shape, through weight gain and/or muscle loss through being less physically active may cause excess fat in the breast area or the skin to sag.
Body Image
Changes in the chest area and noticeably enlarged breast tissue can be very distressing and leave you feeling self-conscious or embarrassed; potentially, affecting many aspects of your life.
At Red Rose Desire, we don’t underestimate the affects this condition can have on your confidence and self-esteem; we are here to provide help and support to guide you through any insecurities you may be feeling and guide you through your choices available through the breast reduction surgery we offer.
Male Breast Reduction Surgery
Male chest reduction surgery is designed to remove excess fat and sagging skin from an enlarged chest. It’s helped many men to regain more natural proportions and improved posture. Here at Red Rose Desire, our experienced team will provide surgery and a full care programme to ensure that your new body shape has a positive impact on your lifestyle and self-esteem.
Our Procedure
Your first step is a full consultation with a Surgeon, where you will be able to talk in detail about the results you want to achieve. We will work with you to attain the right chest shape for you and your body. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your surgery, and the journey to your new body. At Red Rose Desire we want our patients to feel the best they can and enjoy the comfort of feeling body-confident.
Breast reduction surgery involves a small incision around the nipple area, then liposuction is used to remove excess fat, and depending on your requirements, excess skin and glandular tissue may also be removed in order to achieve your desired results.
The surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and you will most likely spend at least one nights stay at the hospital.
Recovery
Your personal
aftercare team will carefully monitor your progress and will schedule follow-up appointments so we can assess your wound and post-operative progress. It is important that you take care of yourself post-surgery and give your body time to recover at a reasonable pace, in order to achieve the best and desired results.
You will need to wear the elastic compression garment provided to you for a few weeks post surgery; this will help minimise swelling and help keep your new shape created by your surgeon. Following your surgery you will feel soreness, swelling and discomfort; general pain relief will help you feel more comfortable and able to manage this.
We advise that you don’t have any vigorous activity for at least three weeks, and you should not drive for two weeks. Most of our patients feel they can return to work two weeks post surgery. We will take good care of you during your time with us for your cosmetic surgery, working together to ensure you have a smooth recovery.

Thousands of women all over the world, of all shapes and sizes are looking to enlarge, reduce or reshape their breasts, daily. Be it for medical reasons, vanity purposes, to help with low self-esteem and more, women have been augmenting their breasts since the 1890’s! For most of us, the dream, the idea, the need or want of a
breast enlargement or ‘boob job’ is the first stage, and essentially the easy part. Making those thoughts and dreams into reality, and seriously considering or booking the surgery is the harder part.
Often we get asked – what is the cost? what does this include? How much are the bigger implants? What about aftercare?
We are confident that we can assist, consult and perform your breast surgery as we do for hundreds each year, at a fixed price, which includes all of your appointments, pre-checks, the procedure itself (regardless of the size of your implant) full aftercare and post-surgery checks.
A one-time payment of £3900 – nothing more.
**Prices correct at time of writing
One price doesn’t mean sub-standard service, or low quality standard of care.
Quite the opposite, we know it is a big decision and investment to you, which is why we are happy to consult you professionally at no charge.
At Red Rose Desire, and at any establishment worth its socks, we feel it is imperative that all clients get to meet and get to know their surgeon, the very surgeon that will be performing their surgery. That way each question is discussed medically, as each woman, each pair of breasts and each procedure is different.
Some may come in sure that what they need is a breast enlargement, when in fact they will need an augmentation or enlargement with uplift. Others may be aiming to enhance their breast size larger than their body frame, and others may not have any preconceived idea at all.
It is only natural at this stage for women to start to feel nervous, even anxious about the process, the surgery itself, the aftercare and more. Many will have a hundred and one questions. Please be safe in the knowledge that this is completely normal and very common when choosing to have breast surgery.
Just a few of the most frequent questions our surgeons receive at the consultations are;
● What type of breast surgery or procedure is right for me?
● Is breast enhancement safe? What are the risks?
● How long does it take to perform / recover from breast surgery?
● How long will my new breasts last?
● Can I still breastfeed safely with a breast enhancement?
● Will I lose sensation in my breasts or nipples?
● Do implants affect mammograms / detecting breast cancer?
● Are breast enlargements painful?
● Are you (the surgeon) fully qualified and accredited?
● What does your aftercare include?
The surgeon is the only one qualified enough to prepare a tailored plan and give you detailed information about the procedure, aftercare, risks and expected results.
At Red Rose Desire, our surgeons are registered and have successfully practised and gained respect in the cosmetic surgery industry for many years. We know how many questions and reservations ladies will have before breast surgery, and this is why we offer completely
free consultations with surgeons, the professionals, themselves.
Rest assured there are no hidden costs, no extra’s or add on, just one transparent cost and you get the very best of medical practice, and a promise from us that you are in safe hands, not only now, but in the future too. To book your
free consultation with one of
our surgeons, contact us via telephone, by email, or through our website. We look forward to speaking to you.

Breast surgery for everyone – the same shape, and size; one size fits all!
If that were our marketing slogan, would you consider it?
Many ask…Is this possible?
Do you feel satisfied with one fit, one size?
Perhaps you could call it…off the shelf breast implants!
What if you could choose an implant size that fits YOU, and your body shape?
What if chest measurements, your shoulders and back meant a different fit?
What if you were the only one who had breasts like you?
Your breast size is most often determined by your genes and your hormones, which has taken into account your frame, weight and size. This means that for most, breast size is proportionate to body shape– however for a few; their breast shape is out of proportion; perhaps they have larger breasts that are heavy and hanging, or very small breasts, both, which can cause real discomfort and loss of confidence.
If you suffer with your breast size, don’t settle for ‘off the shelf breast implants’ or ‘one size fits all’ explore a tailored fit, a size of implant which is matched to you and your frame/body shape…a result as unique as you are.

There are a number of factors that can lead to some women wanting to have a breast augmentation procedure at some point in their lives. As we age our skin loses its elasticity and the weight of the breast tissue can lead to breasts feeling less firm and appear to droop. Other factors like breastfeeding or changes in body weight can also add to some women feeling their breasts are less firm or sagging.
Breast surgery is a good way to turn back the clock and correct the changing shape of your breasts as we travel through the decades. There are a number of options, and each procedure should be tailored to you, and your shape and size. Many ladies do not require or want the additional size that implants bring, and are therefore more suited towards a breast uplift which can enhance, shape and uplift a sagging breast.
Breast Lift Procedures
It is quite normal to worry about undergoing a surgical procedure; many women are hesitant about having breast uplift surgery for fear of visible scaring following their surgery.
There are a variety of options available for a breast lift procedure and a variety of incision points for you and your surgeon to discuss and choose from depending on your type of surgery and desired outcome. Here at Red Rose Desire we invest a lot of time in each of our patients: advising, listening, supporting, to ensure that we help you achieve your end goal and dream.
Minimal Scaring
If you are looking for a breast lift that leaves very little evidence of a breast surgery procedure, then the crescent breast lift could be a consideration for you.
The crescent breast lift is a great option if you have minimal sagging or drooping of your breasts. It is worth noting, that it is also possible to carry out a breast augmentation (breast implant) along with a crescent breast lift procedure to create a fuller, firmer and uplifted look to your breasts.
Our surgeon will make one small crescent shaped incision along the top half of your areola (nipple area) in each breast. A crescent shaped area of skin is removed, which will elevate the nipple areas upwards creating a more youthful appearance.
If you have opted for breast augmentation, then an implant will also be inserted into the breast at this point.
The crescent breast lift will give you an uplifted looking breast shape with minimal visible scaring that will fade and blend into the areola as time passes.
After Your Surgery
As with all surgery you will need to follow a care program to ensure the best results from your surgery. Your care team at Red Rose Desire will be here with you every step of the way, providing support, advice and any medication you may need. Our team will support and guide you through every aspect of your surgery options and your aftercare nurse and patient care team are available throughout your cosmetic surgery.
You should expect to experience some swelling and soreness following your breast uplift surgery. This will ease with time and we will provide you with pain control medication to help ease any discomfort.
We also recommend that you don’t do anything too strenuous for the first few days and don’t return to work until a week after surgery. You should avoid lifting heavy objects and limit any exercise to at least 4 to 6 weeks, again we can offer advice as to what to do and when.
You may find that it takes several months before all swelling, scaring and bruising subsides, and you can see the full benefit of a much more youthful looking breast shape achieved following your crescent breast lift.
