Asking the right questions prepares you for your procedure, and allows you to get the best from your surgery and your surgeon. It is always a good idea when in research stage to arm yourself with a list of questions covering topics you do not understand or need to know more about.
We advise patients to write these down, that way when you meet with your surgeon during your consultation; you are ready and are less likely to forget.
Your surgeon will always give you the most accurate, medical explanation, which is important when deciding which procedure is best for you. Whether it is
breast enlargement surgery,
breast reduction surgery or
breast re-augmentation, we are here to answer any thoughts, or queries you might have to allow you to feel fully prepared and safe in the knowledge that your breast specialist
surgeon team has recommended the right procedure to fit your surgery goals.
We know how important it is that you fully understand what the procedure involves, the benefits and risks, the aftercare included and the results. We pride ourselves in getting to know you so that your results are unique to you.
The three most popular questions are:
How do I choose which implants are best for me?
Working alongside your surgeon, you can discuss and agree the best plan for you. We offer a number of different kinds of
breast implants options, each offering different profiles, shape and size.
Your surgeon is responsible for highlighting the features of the implants on offer and matching the perfect one for you.
How long do breast implants last?
Although breast implants are not designed to last forever, they can last quite a number of years. Guidelines suggest that breast implants should be removed and replaced after around 10 years, if nothing else in the body has changed. These guidelines vary from supplier to supplier.
Naturally as bodies change, many women opt for re-augmentation surgery before 10 years, and others want to make size or shape changes too.
Who decides on the size of implant?
Each breast procedure is tailored, and not one will be the same as another.
It is important to understand that your body type, your height and your weight are factors, which will affect which size is most suitable for you.
Ultimately, your desired breast shape and expected size is an important factor and will allow your surgeon to understand your desires, matching the right implant to you.
We want you to feel in control, and will allow you to work with the surgeon to create a plan and a look that is perfect for you.
Other question worth asking:
The only way to understand fully what the procedure entails, and for the most accurate medical information, is to come along and meet with our surgeon team. Book a

Things to consider before moving forward with breast surgery…
It is true that like noses and legs, breasts grow to be all shapes and sizes, and often, not always aligned with the person’s natural body shape and frame, which can cause low self-esteem and confidence issues.
We see ladies who wish for a larger, fuller breast and opt for breast enlargement surgery. Others are looking to reduce size with breast reduction surgery and often ladies who are looking to re-shape or firm their breasts and look at beast uplift surgery.
Your surgeon at Red Rose Desire is there to guide you through the best surgery option for you and to understand your expectations too. We know that whatever your reason for surgery, your body is different to others and surgery has to be tailored, and just right for you. Our surgeons are skilled, experienced and always on hand.
A big decision…
Breast surgery is a serious procedure and should not be taken lightly. We always ask that you come along and spend time with the breast specialist surgeon to discuss the procedure, your desired shape and size and the aftercare. We also encourage lots of research and thought before proceeding.
It is a very personal decision, one which demands good preparation, so that you are sure you are doing it for the right reasons. We are here at any time to help you with this decision and are always on hand to answer any questions you might have, to make this decision easier.
The financial decision…
The financial aspect of surgery must also be taken just as seriously, so that you are always aware of the costs associated with your procedure. There are a number of payment options available, and breast surgery can be more affordable than you might think. We always offer one cost, with no hidden extras, that way there is full transparency when looking at your affordability.
Whether you take advantage of our 0% finance we can offer, or you choose to pay for it upfront; we can work through the best options for you.
Size and shape decision
You may already have a good idea about what size or shape you would like to see your end result, but this differs from patient to patient, dependent upon chest and frame size to skin elasticity. It is always important to discuss your thoughts and desires with the surgeons to agree on the best fit for you.
Breast implants are available in different sizes and shapes and by working with your surgeon, they can offer you a tailored look and feel.
After all, that is what your consultation is for; answering questions and arming you with all the information, so that you are able to make the best decision for you and your needs.
Recovery decision
Naturally after any procedure your body will need time to heal and so we would always advise you to take this into account before going ahead.
You will need at least 7-14 days to recover, however this varies from patient to patient, this is longer should you opt for breast uplift surgery or breast reduction surgery.
Take into consideration your job or lifestyle pace, if you have a more active or demanding job, make sure you can take time off to heal and can also get the help at home you might need in the early days, especially if you have family or jobs outside of work, and in the home. Our aftercare is full and always included.
Post cosmetic surgery nutrition is also key during your recovery, and can make all the difference to the speed and success of your end result.
We have a full aftercare team in place to advise you, and arm you with all the right information about what you can and can’t do, and things to consider.
