October is an important month which allows us all to come together as woman, to take action against Breast Cancer – also known as The Pink Month, where efforts to educate and communicate about the disease, signs and symptoms and early identification.
Breast Cancer Awareness month 2023 raises awareness and much needed funds in the fight against cancer, with research and pioneering screening, medication and early intervention – About one in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime, but the good news is that there is a good chance of recovery if it’s detected at an early stage, and so it is during October that we encourage all women to check their breasts and book in their screening appointments which are available to them.

Keep informed, get screened regularly and keep an eye on any breast changes. Breast Cancer Screening is Important – Early Detection Saves Lives!
As the second most common cancer in women, after skin cancers, it is crucial to keep informed and to regularly check your breasts. It is also important to screen and get checked annually after you turn 40 years of age, as the risks increase dramatically. Mammography is the best detection for early breast cancer, and the good news is that with advances in treatment, the chance that a woman will die from breast cancer is under 3%.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an important month, every year, where people all over the world are encouraged to come together to raise awareness of breast cancer and show support for those people affected by the disease.
During October, ladies across the globe are encouraged to keep a close eye on and feel for new texture or skin changes to their breasts and are given extra information about taking care, caring for those battling and researching to make a change.

2020 has been a year like no other, one where support for each other has been so important and one where wearing pink and helping to raise crucial funding for research. Supporting each other, can show every woman that her life is important, and that by working together, we can inspire hope and become a force to raise money and help make life-changing breast cancer care and research happen. The coronavirus crisis is having a devastating impact on funding, so please join together on the 23rd October, by wearing something PINK and raising lots for cancer research. THINK PINK!

Not only that, breast cancer is not going away, by wearing PINK, we are raising awareness, encouraging ladies to check check check and providing extra support and light on those who may have suffered or recently been disgnosed.
