Pre-operative

One to one pre-operative assessment – report back to office if any abnormalities or further tests required. (Pulse, blood pressure and MRSA swabs taken) Pre-operative telephone calls to patients attending another site to ensure patient fully understands procedure and garments required post op

 

Post-operative

Telephone call to patient day after surgery and alternate days (if recovery uneventful) until post-operative review. Report any concerns immediately to office Post-operative wound check – report back to office if any concerns Clinic Arrange pre and post-operative appointments for patient Ensure environment clean and tidy at all times. Restock supplies as required.

• Delivery MRSA swabs to RPH, Ensure stock supplies are in situ at clinic.
• Telephone calls
• Emergency on call for all patients
• Available to support office with any pre or post-operative enquiries
• Attending clinics
• Take medical photographs pre and post-surgery
• In-depth note taking

 

Essential qualifications required

• Good surgical background in wound care
• Flexible
• Competent to work independently
• Organised
• Good record keeping

Good understanding of cosmetic surgery
