My Breast Surgery Story.

My name is Jenna, I am 30 and own a jewellery business ‘Forever Together Jewellery’.

From being about 17 I have always thought about having breast augmentation, as I am very flat chested (32aa/a). Growing up, I never felt feminine and always struggled to get tops to fit me well. Over the years, I did some research but never had the confidence to take the plunge.

Research Phase

At the age of 29, I went to bed one evening and woke up the following morning having made the decision that I was going ahead with the surgery. Once again, I started my research and came across Dr. Prasad at Red Rose Desire.
When I saw his photo, I couldn’t quite believe what I was seeing… 8 years ago my mum had breast cancer and had breast reconstruction months after her surgery. When I saw Dr. Prasad, I realised that it was him that had done her reconstruction.

It was actually quite overwhelming as he had been fantastic with my mum and her surgery was one of the best I’d ever seen. This just felt like fate and at that very moment, I felt 100% sure I was making the right decision to go ahead with the surgery.

My Consultation…

I booked my consultation right away and felt so at ease with Dr. Prasad during my consultation. Although there was the option to have a second consultation, I didn’t feel the need and went straight on to book my surgery date. Within 3 months I was booked in and the date couldn’t arrive quick enough. I decided to have 415cc under the muscle implants using Allergan implants as I wanted the most natural look and felt these were the best option for me.

 The Day of Surgery

The day arrived and I had my surgery at Newton le Willows. The staff were fantastic from start to finish and my procedure was over and done with before I knew it.

After surgery I found the pain to be around 7 out of 10 and got a little worse over the next few days but then started to ease. My breasts looked different every day and I would say they have probably just about started to fully settle after 12months. I went from a 32aa to a 34D.  I wanted to go to a C but Dr. Prasad advised me to go to a D and I’m so glad I did. I wish I’d gone even a touch larger now and I never thought I’d say that.

Below I will give some snippets of advice that I found very useful….

  1. Buy a V pillow, these are worth their weight in gold after surgery and I still sleep with one now.
  2. Bras- everyone is different but I found the Tesco sports bras to be the best comfort wise and I tried so many. Macom was great too for the first 2 week as they are easy to get on and off.
  3. Keep on top of your meds and have some laxative medicine to hand for when you’re taking the codeine as this bloated me like mad for the 1st week.
  4. Rest! This is so important the 1st week. Me being me, I attempted to return to work after 5 days and ended up doing too much resorting in me taking a further week off work.
  5. Ice packs- these were fab for the swelling and helped the discomfort alongside the meds.

Well I think that’s about it!

Having read the above I think you are already aware that I would 100% recommend Red Rose  Desire. I love my boobs and only wish I’d had the courage to go ahead sooner. I’ve never felt as confident as I do today and it’s great to finally feel like a woman.

♥️ Thank you Red Rose Desire and especially Dr. Prasad.
